Meet Katy

Katy has a B.A. in Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University and over ten years of experience as a professional researcher, speaker, and editor. Most recently, she is the former Genealogy Director for the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and is the current Manager of Academic Programs at Historic Trappe in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She has spent years as a senior-level professional researcher with highly rated companies such as Legacy Tree Genealogists and Price Genealogy. Since 2010, she has completed hundreds of genealogy projects and peer reviews, amounting to tens of thousands of hours of experience across a wide range of time periods and geographic areas. She is a member of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
